Carrie Underwood performing at the Super Bowl halftime show?
Rumors have been swirling that Carrie Underwood is in talks of performing at the 2015 Super Bowl halftime show. And I say, No better choice! It is about time that they bring country back to the halftime show. The last time a country star headlined was in 2003 when Shania Twain was part of the lineup that included No Doubt and Sting and before that was in 1994 with big names like Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt and the Judds! We have had out fair share of country stars sing the National Anthem including, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks and Blake and Miranda who sang America the Beautiful. This is a great time for country to take over the Super Bowl, with the growing popularity of the music and the younger artist bringing something new to the game, and not to mention all the cross over collaborations with with rap and pop artist. Country sure is not what it was 10 years ago or even 5 years ago. All I know is I am rooting for Carrie!
